I created the texture by fusing sterling silver scraps one layer at a time with the intent of making a bangle bracelet, but it got too heavy and thick. I cut it open and rolled it through the rolling mill to thin it out. At that point, the metal lost all its texture and was a long sheet of silver.
The metal retains memory, so when I reheated the metal, all the textures that were there came back to the surface. Kind of magical!
The organic rounded edges make this a very comfortable cuff to wear.
1-1/2” wide; oxidized sterling silver.
