Totem Brooch with Australian Opal
This piece is one of a kind. The circle with the square is hollow form construction which means it is lighter in weight than it looks. The body of the piece is formed by hammering it and moving the metal to wrap. The back of the brooch has 2 tie tacks to fasten it. I find these help position the pin more easily and keep it secure. In Buddhist culture, a square within a circle symbolizes the connection between humans and the divine.
4-1/2” long x 1” wide x 1/4” deep; Australian opal.
Properties of Australian Opal: Fortifies relationships, balances mood and strengthens trust in oneself, releases fear and anger, and increases creativity.
